Install your free theme
- Download the installable Pawfolk theme ZIP from Atelier Themes.
- In WordPress, open Appearance → Themes → Add New Theme → Upload Theme. Select the ZIP, install and activate it.
- Open Appearance → Editor to edit templates, navigation, colors and typography.
Create your pages
The homepage template provides editable sections. Create Home and Journal pages, then choose them as the static homepage and posts page under Settings → Reading. Add your story at /about-us/ and contact page at /contact-us/ using the supplied patterns. Use Appearance → Pawfolk Images to select presentation images from your Media Library; these image choices are not imported automatically.
Optional store setup
Install WooCommerce separately from WordPress.org and complete its setup. Assign Shop, Cart, Checkout and My Account pages. Add your products, categories, product images and variation data. The native theme layouts use your WooCommerce content. The full store presentation is tested with WooCommerce 11.2.1 on WordPress 7.1.4; that WooCommerce release requires WordPress 7.0 or later.
Useful category slugs for the starter links are dogs, cats, food, toys, walk, sleep, grooming and accessories. Configure shipping, taxes, payment gateways, transactional email and policies yourself for an actual store. Optional companion plugins are not included in the theme ZIP.
Requirements
The theme minimum is WordPress 6.6 and PHP 7.4. Use supported server software for a new website; WordPress recommends PHP 8.3 or later. The public demo uses WordPress 7.1.4. Hosting and server services are not included.
Included files and demo content
The download is an installable theme, with templates, patterns, assets, readme and license notices. It does not include a complete database, customer records or automatic demo importer. Create your own pages and content using the included patterns. Demo products, activities, prices, business information and statistics are illustrative.
License and help
This theme is free software under GNU GPL v2 or later. Use it on multiple websites and modify or redistribute it under those terms. Bundled assets have their own notices inside the theme.
